 Team IRONMODS has there hands on some of the rarest and most sought after AMD processors. We put two AMD Phenom II X4 42 TWKR Black Editions to the test and the entire adventure is captured in a picture story over at Tom's Hardware. Head over there to see what type of insane benches we were able to do with these gems. (Hint: there is a CPUz screen shot at 6.4Ghz)
What you see at Tom's Hardware was just a teaser. We are going to push these proccessors even harder to see what type of performance they can yield. So stay tuned for more updates. |

 Right now MIAHALLEN is competing in Taipei at Gigabyte's GOOC 2009 World Championship. He has partnered up with Sno.lcn from OCF to represent Team USA.  MIAHALLEN and TiTON competed this past weekend in Gigabtye's GOOC2009 US Regional Qualifier at the Pacific Palms Resort in California. Over a dozen of the Best Benchers in the US were hand selected and invited to compete in this competition. Cpt.Planet also received an invitiation, but due to unforeseen circumstances, was unable to compete. The competition scoring revoled around 2 benches and a total of 3 scores. The two benches were Super Pi 8M and 3DMark06. The scores for the event was SuperPi time, as well as 3DMark06's HDR Score and Overall Points. The HDR Score is pure video card performance, while the over call score is a combination of Video Card and Processor.
At the end of the event, MIAHALLEN took home the 1st place crown with a substantial margin. He took 1st in SuperPi, as well as 4th in 3dMark06 HDR and 4th in 3DMark06. TiTON was battling issues with a bad processor, even swapping out for a new one without any luck. Even with a bad CPU, he managed to take 1st in 3DMark06 HDR as well as 5th overall in 3DMark06. MIAHALLEN will be flying out to Taiwan in the begining of June to compete in the GOOC2009 Word Championship. MIAHALLEN will be representing the US and Team IRONMODS. We wish him the best of luck.  As you all know, Milotic858's Command & Conquer GDI War Factory is currently featured in Maximum PC's March 2009 issue as Mod of The Month. The issue is not even off the news stands yet, and she has started on her next case modding project inspired by the anime series, Macross Frontier. The actual details of the case mod is still a mystery to the public, but we do know she has chosen to use Silverstone's newest and latest case called The Raven for this project. The Raven is a gorgeous case with sleek lines, which should compliment this project very well. From reading on the various modding forums on the net, modders and enthusiasts are all eager to see what Milotic858 has planned. I know that we are definitely in for a great journey with this project. We will keep everyone updated when new progess is posted on the case mod, so check back often.

The LN2 cloud has finally settled on the Winter Forum Warz 2009. Team IRONMODS and OC Forums wins Winter Warz 2009. Team IRONMODS' TiTON, Cpt.Planet, and MIAHALLEN wins the coveted "Power of 3" award. The Power of 3 award is given to the benching team with the highest score in the competition.

OC Forums invites Team IRONMODS to bench as UX Class Team. The "Unlimited Xtreme Class" is the heavy weight division for the competition. Benchers in this class can use whatever hardware, cooling, tweaking, and modifications necessary to get the highest score possible. This type of unrestricted benching is definitely an area where Team IRONMODS excels. Each team member will bench individually with their own hardware. At the end, the scores will be combined to give a Team Score.
OC Forums has currently won the last 4 Forum Wars competition. Many forums are putting their best benchers in the competition an effort to dethrone OC Forums. For Team IRONMODS to be invited to join as their UX Class team is definitely an honor. We will see in a couple of weeks how both OC Forums and Team IRONMODS fair in the competition.
